10 Year Anniversary

Many of you will know Natalie Kerr (pictured centre below) as she is a fantastic Ambassador for Organ Donation and Transplantation and has appeared on local Media reports numerous times. In February she celebrated her 10 Year double Lung Transplant. To mark the occasion she held a massive fundraising Party at the Whites Hotel at the Bolton Wanderers Stadium with over 250 people in attendance.

It was attended by local journalist Mel Barham who has reported on Natalie’s journey since before her transplant and also Coronation Star Andy Whyment.

Natalie’s Donors Brother gave a very emotional speech and there wasn’t a dry eye in the House. This was followed by a hilarious talk from Dr Kevin Jones who was the Dr who first diagnosed Natalie with Pulmonary Hypertension when she was expecting her 2nd Child.

It was a fabulous Evening raising £5180 which was split between New Start and Pulmonary Hypertension

Thank you Natalie and Family for your continued support.

How to spend the day that you should have got Married!

On Friday 30th July, Jess and Matt (who should have been tying the knot that Day) and Friends Dominique and Michael set out on a gruelling 44 mile walk from Radcliffe to Blackpool! It poured down for 16 hours, their feet were covered in blisters and a few tired tears were shed but the support, motivational messages and remembering why these charities are so important to them kept them kept them going. They were greeted at Blackpool Tower by the cheers and hugs from family and friends. The total amount raised was £2,253, this will be split between Trinity Hospice and New Start, two charities very close to their hearts.

A big thank you from all of us to these 4 Youngsters who battled the elements to finish this Challenge on the Day Jess and Matt should have been tying the knot.
